Bob Vermeulen - Representing Ward 3 on Golden's City Council
Ward Maps/Election Information
The Golden City Council consists of 7 elected officials; the Mayor, two District Councilors, and 4 Ward Councilors. The city is divided into four equal sized Wards basically representing the NE (Ward3), NW (Ward 4), SE (Ward 1), SW (Ward2) portions of the city. The two districts consist of two Wards each. District One consists of Wards one and two, District two consists of Wards three and four.
Every four years there are elections for the four Ward council seats (2009) and two years after that are elections for the Mayor and two District seats (2011).
The deadline to register to vote this year is October 5th. The ballots will be sent out mid-October and must be returned by November 3rd. This election is an all mail in ballot. Everyone who is registered to vote by October 5th should receive there ballot in the mail by October 19th.
Below is a link to maps that show the boundaries for the four wards and two districts as well as a link to the voter registration site for Jefferson County.
For even more election information, Golden.com has an entire election section at golden.com/election09.htm. Golden.com is also a great place to find out what events are going on in Golden and I reference it often.
I have also included a few links for those that would like to get more involved in the city. There are so many ways to get involved in our community that anyone can find what suits them best. Please consider getting involved as soon as possible. Below are a few links to get you started as well as some links to current City Council member sites.

It's not."
